Managing Your Email
When used appropriately, email can be a very valuable communication tool. In contrast, many of us are overwhelmed by the volume of mail we receive and have to respond to. Managing your email can keep your inbox manageable if you check your email regularly during the day. However, this comes with the risk of being unproductive.
The good news is that there are ways to manage your email so that you’re more productive.
Set a schedule with limits
To limit your email checking and getting distracted from work, try to set times during the day to check your email, it helps to put it on your calendar. For example, that you will only check your email before lunch, first thing in the morning, and at the end of the day. There are many strategies you can use that can help you make sure your email doesn’t end up on overload and ensures you get your work done!
If you’re new to using email, you may not know how to take certain actions on your dashboard. For instance, getting spam and moving it to the spam folder, replying to emails, or even setting your signature. These can all be overwhelming, but we’re here to help!
